Class Participation

Class participation is evaluated in two aspects.

1. Attendance. Class attendance is required for every class, regardless of who is presenting. We will conduct random checks, and 3 marks will be deducted for every missed class signup.
2. Discussion Students are expected to actively participate in classroom discussions, especially for student presentations. For example, you can contribute to discussions by asking for clarifications of problem setup/algorithm/evaluation, bringing up your discussion points, or answering other students questions, etc. The instructor will give an overall assessment at class end based on semester-long performance.
