Class Participation
Class participation is evaluated in two aspects. The instructor will give an overall assessment at class end based on semester-long performance. Every student will get full scores for class participation as long as you are actively engaged with the course.
- Discussion Students are expected to actively participate in classroom discussions, especially for student presentations. For example, you can contribute to discussions by asking for clarifications of problem setup/algorithm/evaluation, bringing up your discussion points, or answering other students questions, etc.
- Course Project Execution The course project is the major component of this course. Students are expected to actively involve the instructor for developing project proposal, refining their algorithm and system designs, comparing their methods with other baseline methods, presenting their projects, etc..
